This Spring, I worked on a safari-themed birth announcement for a little boy named James. His parents asked for his name to be illustrated in their favourite shade of blue, surrounded by animals such as a lion, giraffe and monkey.
Inspired by children’s books, illustrated names or initials are a charming way to our celebrate little ones, whether to be used on the cover of a christening or birthday invitation or to be sent out as their birth announcement.
James’s parents decided to also print a larger version to frame at home for his bedroom, but if you would prefer to commission your child’s name or initials for the sole purpose of framing at home, I would be happy to quote for an original hand-painted watercolour rather than a digital print.
