I’ve spent the first months of 2025 designing a series of bespoke Spring and early Summer wedding invitations, alongside other illustration projects and bespoke stationery. Now that the freshness of Spring has been and gone, and summer is truly setting in here in the UK, I’m excited to share a small selection with you today, from weddings gone-by.
Invitations
Patrizia and Lee, 7th June 2025

Over our first meeting, Patrizia explained that her wedding would be an intimate ceremony, followed by a lunch with family and friends at her favourite restaurant, in her home town of Berkhamsted, which is best known for beautiful canals. She wanted a colourful Itinerary she could frame, to also serve as an informal Invitation, highlighting the events of the day, and, of course, including her two cats! We chose hand-written details to go with the whimsical and relaxed feel, along with Patrizia’s favourite flowers.
Coastal Invitation Set
Mimi and Conor, 17th May 2025

We selected the motifs for Mimi and Conor’s invitation set based on the two themes of ‘Spring’ and ‘Coast.’ The emergence of bees, butterflies and wildflowers in Spring came to mind, combined with crabs and shells to signify the coastal, north Devon setting. The Map Insert would be simple and atmospheric, showing the three key locations and the proximity to the coastline. We included plenty of information for the guests on the reverse side of the Formal Invitation, for how to approach the dress code, accommodation, directions and wedding presents.
A Map for the Day
Alice and Callum, 17th May 2025

Alice came to me asking for a farm map of home that she could reprint at a large scale for the wedding, with a small ‘Order of the Day’ section to include timings for the festivities. Over a series of sketches and a few meetings, we made sure to reflect the layout of the farm as accurately as possible, and not to forget any of the animal residents! We mapped out the route guests should take, from the where to park, to the garden ceremony, to the marquee and finally to their sleeping bell tents, choosing more formal calligraphy titles combined with clear capital labels. Alice was kind enough to update me with photos from the wedding by Sarah Crossley Photography – it looked like a truly wonderful day!
