This summer I was really excited to design the invitations and pledge cards for a charity garden party hosted by Andrew Lloyd Webber. The party took place on 6th July 2024, raising money for the Hampshire Medical Fund. In the beautiful gardens of this country estate, guests sipped on cocktails and listened to undoubtably lovely music!
I painted the background landscape in watercolour, referring to photographs and vintage oil paintings of the estate. While these sources and the ink calligraphy echo the traditional nature of a stately subject with a rich history, the addition of musical notes, illustrated sheep and daisies add a contemporary feel and whimsical summer atmosphere.
